| Notes | Born in Lewiston, Idaho, 5th October 1920. ASN - O-2044889 Crew Chief - S/Sgt. Joseph G. Ruzicka 28 November 1943 - Promoted from Flight Officer to 2nd Lieutenant March 1944 - Promoted from 2nd Lieutenant to 1st Lieutenant May 1944 - Promoted from 1st Lieutenant to Captain 19 September 1944 - Assigned as 343rd Fighter Squadron Operations Officer MACR No. 13184 20 March 1945 - Hit by flak near Flensburg and bailed out in Denmark. Evaded to Sweden, where Capt. Brown was interned. Flown back to the UK in a B-24 to Scotland and returned to Wormingford on 10th April 1945. Returned to the States shortly after. |
