'James Cullwell "Jim" Seibert was born on Thursday; August 31, 1916, in Grimes; Polk County, Iowa. He owned and operated a farm between Grimes and Johnston all his life. Jim served in World War II in the 8th Air Force, 55th fighter group, 338th fighter squadron as a crew chief where he earned the distinguished Bronze Star. As a lifetime member of Saint Peters Lutheran Church in Grimes and a long-time member of the Lions Club and American Legion, Jim was active in the community for many years. Jim's passions were his family, friends, helping others, telling a good story and he particularly loved children (and they loved him). James Cullwell "Jim" Seibert, 91, passed away on Monday; January 22, 2007 in Grimes, Iowa. Those left to mourn his passing are his sister Pauline Besch, two daughters Dee (Ron) Stenstrom and Donna (Cliff) Johnson, granddaughter Melissa (Kenny Toft) Stenstrom, grandson Jim Stenstrom, and great-grandchildren Tarquinn and Chloe Stenstrom-Toft. He was preceded in death by wife: Betty Cox Seibert and his grandchildren: Cole Hughes and Chad Stenstrom.'
