Memories Elizabeth Lavertue's Obituary

LACONIA ; M. Elizabeth Lavertue (Beth), 88, of The Weirs, died Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2007, at St. Francis Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Laconia, after a brief illness.
Beth was born in the Weirs on Oct. 19, 1919, and spent most of her life in this lakeside community which she loved so much. She lived in the same house her great-grandparents built in 1889, "Fernside" on Lakeside Avenue.
Beth is survived by her two children, Henry Lavertue of Florida and Marcia Picinich of Fleetwood, Pa.; her brothers, Earl Wheeler and Bill Wheeler, both of Rochester, N.H.; a sister, Doris Pike of Exeter, N.H., as well as eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband, Henry, who lost his life while in service to his country on Dec. 25, Christmas Day, 1945.
