D. TIME ATTACK MADE: 14 - 25.
E. GEOGRAPHICAL LOCATION OF ATTACK:
F. WEATHER: Overcast 24,000 ft. - CAVU above.
G. TYPE OF ENEMY AIRCRAFT: ME 109.
H. ENEMY CASUALTIES: (Pilot's claim): 1 ME 109 Damaged.
I. ACCOUNT OF COMBAT (In narrative form, stressing ours and enemy's tactics.)
We were flying toward R/V at 31,000 ft. flying straight and level. E/A attack came from above and ahead when about twenty (20) 109's met us head on. I sighted on the 109 directly ahead of me and opened fire, holding until he broke away violently. Scattered hits on the wings were observed before break away.
