I. My flight leader went down on enemy aircraft, which was below us and behind
the bombers. I saw him fire and then close in on the enemy aircraft.
Immediately after my flight leader broke away, I saw a lot of smoke coming from
the enemy plane. It started down and appeared as if it were completely out
of control.
