I. I was flying as Whiteman Red 2. Lt. Sorace made a pass at a FW 190, at which
time I was a little above and behind him. As the FW 190 turned into Lt.
Sorace's attack I started firing. My first burst was at about 300 yards,
closing to about 50 yards. I stalled at that time, losing him for a
second. I rolled my plane up on one wing and watched the FW 190 spin down
through the overcast.
